Uncurated Studio

since 2017

Info

Uncurated Studio is a multidisciplinary design practice founded by Karl Aguro, based in Cagayan de Oro, Philippines. The studio is recognized for its bold, experimental aesthetic, often characterized by brutalist layouts, high-contrast color palettes, and expressive typography. Driven by a philosophy of reimagining traditional design through archival research and Mindanaoan heritage, the studio handles a diverse range of projects including brand identity, art direction, and environmental graphics.

The studio's work has been featured in international magazines such as BranD (Hong Kong) and IndieType (China). Uncurated Studio also spearheads local community projects including soft (a project by chingkeetea) and the Oro Design Conference, an annual graphic design conference in Northern Mindanao.
